Hailing from the mountains of West Virginia, longtime Detroit resident Jackson Baugh has been a veteran of music both live and in the studio. He was in popular Christian groups Rhev 21 and Times 7 and has recorded for local favorite, Men Of Grace. He has received air time from radio stations both local and national. Jackson also performs with London England based Psalm Drummer and fronts the Detroit version of this Christian percussion group. He has had the honor of being featured in Modern Drummer Magazine.
Jackson has also given private education to percussionists in the past, is ordained and serves as a Deacon of Family Ministries. He plays with the praise group at his home church and is involved with local missions to Middle Eastern peoples.
Dearborn native, Carl Behrendt comes to Kindred Nation with years of experience both as a musician and as a recording engineer. He performed with and engineered the groups Public Figure and Brent Jaxon Project with long time friend and still current band mate, Jackson Baugh. Their work has surfaced on cable TV and Radio.
He has also helped produce and engineer other solo artists and groups in the Detroit area.
Kevin comes to Kindred Nation from the cultural hotbed of El Paso, Texas. There he served as an Associate Pastor, a Christian school educator and Worship Leader. In spite of his Southwest background, he is a HUGE fan of the Detroit Pistons! He is passionate about multi-cultural ministry, and has done missionary work a round the world including India, Mexico City, and the U.S. inner-city. Kevin holds a Masters degree in Theology. His music experiences include numerous tours and studio situations, notably with the instrumental jazz band TNMN. Currently he is actively involved in recovery ministries around the metro Detroit area.
This native Detroiter (and daughter of Al Scarlett, trombonist for Donna Summer, Robert Goulet and more) has performed with local and national groups over the years. These groups include The Johnny Trudell Band, Joe Rosonova, and Sugar and Spice. She has also written and produced a solo CD entitled Oh Lord Give Me A Child.
Her music education includes five years of study with renowned vocal instructor, Phil Holwey. She is currently the Worship Leader for her home church. Formerly, she taught music (K-8 grades) and currently teaches voice and beginning piano privately.
Currently ministering as Worship Leader at his home church, this multi-talented musician was delivered to Kindred Nation by way of Toledo, Ohio. Joe served as part of the United States Military Band. He also has earned a Masters Degree in Music from Eastern Michigan University. He has performed with many groups, and recently has done sessions with Florida jazz flautist Eric Samson and Nashville Christian recording artist Rhonda Hanson. In addition to his years of performance he has been an educator at Washtenaw Community College, Eastern Michigan University and private instruction.
